lecture,
Ron
Garritson
will
present
an
interactive
presentation
of
the
Plains
Indian
Sign
Language,
to
bring
attention
to
the
importance
of
preserving
this
most
sacred
form
of
communication,
this
silent
language
of
the
plains,
which
is
currently
on
the
list
of
endangered
Native
American
languages.
The
history
and
use
of
the
sign
talk
will
be
examined
as
well
as
what
is
being
done
or
can
be
done
to
preserve
this
and
other
Native
American
languages that are at risk of being lost forever.
